TORRANCE, CA – November 19, 2019 – Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) has recognized Janice Bryant Howroyd, ActOne Group Founder and CEO, as a 2019 Global Power 150 - Women in Staffing. The Global Power 150 list honors the female policymakers, businesspersons, technologists, and crusaders who continue to shape the industry.
Janice is a staunch advocate of the transformative power of work to change lives and communities around the globe, and SIA's recognition highlights that commitment. She has served as a U.S. Ambassador for the Department of Energy's Minorities in Energy, U.S. International Trade Advisory Commission Board, and was appointed to the Board of Advisors for the White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities. In addition, Janice was appointed to the Advisory Committee on Diversity and Digital Empowerment for the Federal Communications Commission.
Through funding scholarships and investing her time, Janice supports several universities, including Harvard University, University of Southern California, California State University San Bernardino, and her own alma mater, North Carolina A&T. In addition, she is actively involved with several women's organizations (WBENC, The Trusteeship), and groups that serve minority populations (NMSDC, Urban League, LAEDC).
