In 1978, Janice Bryant Howroyd started the ActOne Group with a single desk and phone line in Beverly Hills, California. Through hard work and integrity, the company has grown into an international powerhouse with operations in more than 19 countries around the world.

Janice Bryant Howroyd’s success has inspired her to share her business knowledge and life experiences as a speaker and author. A prolific philanthropist, she supports charities and schools dedicated to bringing education and opportunities to those in need. She holds leadership roles with several women's organizations (WBENC, The Trusteeship), and groups that serve minority populations (NMSDC, Urban League, LAEDC).
